3D Motion Design
A self-initiated project to test out Redshift and learn a bit more about Houdini particles.
It comes as no surprise that Redshift is insanely fast - I was rendering at 4k for at 512 samples and each frame was around 1-2 minutes.
Rendering within Houdini brought many advantages; allowing me to take advantage of particle colours and not having to cache simulations before rendering to name a few. Redshift for Houdini as a whole feels much better-implemented when compared to Cinema.
I can't wait to delve deeper into Redshift, I feel it strikes the perfect balance between Arnold's advantages in production(AOV's and whatnot) and Octanes blazing speed.
